Join Diana Henry, author of numerous sensory “Tools” across the lifespan and author of the Sensory Processing Measure Quick Tips (SPM Quick Tips) for her most recent research.
Attendees will be offered a peek into the new SPM-2in development, with its expanded coverage of ages from infants through adults. Opportunities for data collection in numerous settings will be shared.
Diana’s OT colleagues, hospital-based Kathy Barret and school-based Gayle Lindsay, will join Diana highlighting the digital SPM Quick Tips program to share strategies co-developed with parents, teachers and therapists. Using case studies with children, they will take you through the process from assessment to collaborative data recording and implementation at home, at school, and in the community. Video clips will be shared.
A peek into the SPM Quick Tips digital platform process, used by parents, teachers, and therapists, will be demonstrated online.

Presenters:
Diana Henry, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA author of several “sensory tools” across the lifespan including the SPM Quick Tips, is now co-authoring the SPM 2 from infants through adults. Diana conducts research nationally and internationally to promote data-driven intervention and evidence-based practice
Kathy Barrett, MS, OTR/L has been an occupational therapist for 21 years. She is SIPT certified and trained, and has specialized in pediatrics for 12 years. Kathy collaborated with Diana Henry and others, conducting research on the SPM Quick Tips to determine efficacy and usability.
Dr. Gayle Lindsay, OTR/Lhas been an occupational therapist for over 30 years. She is currently the Lead occupational therapist for one of the largest school systems in the state of Georgia and specializes in school-based pediatrics. Dr. Lindsay has also collaborated with Diana Henry on research related to data-driven decision making utilizing the SPM Quick Tips.
