Recent advances in pain science and medical research have allowed modern health and wellness practitioners to move beyond the old, “architectural” model of human posture. Let us now explore the foundations of a new model: a dynamic system built on the tension between seeking out information and retreating from threat. This course will focus on concepts related to the adult population.

Reembody Method™ founderKevin C. Moore has over a decade of experience as an instructor and master trainer of human movement. Kevin focused his early education in physics and biochemistry, but left the STEM fields in 2004 to pursue a career in professional dance and stage performance. He became certified in STOTT Pilates in 2005, studying under Melanie Byford-Young, and later accepted a teaching/mentorship position in Istanbul, Turkey under Master Trainer Gerda Ergul.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify sources of threat, including spatial, environmental and social
- Explore novel classifications for movement behaviors based on perceived threat level
- Contrast principles of sensorimotor learning with architectural model of posture
- Explore specializations in human physiology and apply them to postural models
- Identify alternatives to conventional cueing
