Intended Audience: Practitioners interested in utilizing telehealth without a background in providing telehealth services.
Presenter:
Jayna Fischbach, OTD, OTR/L, BCP is a pediatric occupational therapist and the Senior Consultant for Occupational Therapy Services for DotCom Therapy, a telehealth service provider. She assisted with development and implementation of the occupational therapy program when DotCom Therapy expanded.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify regulations in licensure and practice acts which influence the ability to provide services via telehealth.
- Recognize regulations regarding reimbursement and malpractice insurance for providing services via telehealth.
- Apply regulations regarding the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to providing services via telehealth.
